The Wyoming State Bar announced on Apr. 21 that law firms can improve their online presence and gain a competitive advantage by optimizing practice area pages on their websites.

Optimizing these pages matters because potential clients often search for legal services based on the type of work they need, rather than looking for a specific lawyer. By focusing on relevant keywords and high-quality content, law firms increase the likelihood of appearing in search results and attracting new clients.

The announcement encourages lawyers to spend time developing detailed practice area pages, noting that artificial intelligence tools can help draft content and suggest ranking keywords. “You can create practice area page drafts using generative AI, which you can then review & finalize. You can even ask it to include appropriate ranking keywords. You can also ask it to generate images/icons for the pages,” the statement said. The bar also suggests including videos at various points on each page and sharing them across platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.

The Wyoming State Bar offers free law practice management consulting services through Red Cave Law Firm Consulting to help attorneys enhance their web presence. Lawyers interested in these resources are directed to visit the bar’s law practice management page.

The Wyoming Bar Association serves both legal professionals and the public across Wyoming according to its official website. It oversees legal practice, enhances access to quality legal services, advances public access to justice through pro bono programs, honors contributions with awards programs, operates under an elected board representing each judicial district, and uniquely combines regulatory duties with professional development as Wyoming’s integrated bar according to its official website.

According to its official website the association was established as a voluntary organization in 1915 before becoming integrated in 1939, offering resources such as continuing education, lawyer referrals, pro bono initiatives, and promoting professional standards.
