U.S. Attorney’s Office reports multiple sentences including child pornography and drug trafficking

George Jared Peck, 36, from Greybull, Wyoming, has been sentenced to over ten years in prison for possession of child pornography. The court also ordered him to pay $23,000 in restitution to the victims. According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTip on March 5, 2024, about an attempt to upload a child exploitation image online. This tip led investigators from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force back to Peck. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin imposed the sentence on July 14 in Cheyenne.

Mary Renee Weymouth, 63, of Lander, Wyoming, was sentenced to nearly six years in prison for drug-related charges involving methamphetamine and marijuana distribution. Investigators intercepted Weymouth and her codefendant Cathy Kay Gordon returning from Las Vegas with drugs. Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy W. Gist prosecuted the case before U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson issued the sentence on July 14 in Cheyenne.

Cathy Kay Gordon received a ten-year sentence for drug trafficking and firearm charges related to her conspiracy with Weymouth to distribute drugs in Fremont County.

Angel Anibel Felipe-Perez from Tabasco, Mexico, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment followed by deportation for illegal reentry into the United States after being previously deported.

Manuel Ruiz-Ruiz of Zacatecas, Mexico was sentenced to time served and will be deported following his arrest for driving offenses and providing false identity information.

David Leon-Campos from Guanajuato, Mexico received a seven-month sentence followed by deportation for illegal reentry into the United States and employment document fraud.

Stephanie K. McGee from Boonesboro, Maryland was sentenced to 30 days of incarceration after violating probation terms related to DUI offenses in Yellowstone National Park.

The United States Attorney’s Office represents the federal government in litigation within Wyoming’s district courts and is involved in various programs aimed at community safety including Project Safe Childhood and Operation Take Back America.
