Chief Justice Lynne Boomgaarden of the Wyoming Supreme Court announced on Mar. 12 that the Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted three nominees to Governor Mark Gordon to fill a vacancy in the Circuit Court of the Third Judicial District, which is based in Rock Springs.

The announcement follows an extensive review process, during which six individuals applied and were interviewed by the commission in Rock Springs. The three nominees forwarded to the governor are Greg B. Asay, Timothy A. Eagler, and Dean Stout.

Under the Wyoming Constitution, Governor Gordon has thirty days to appoint one of these nominees to serve as circuit court judge.

The Judicial Nominating Commission’s selection process is merit-based and involves careful consideration of all applicants’ qualifications.
