Judicial Nominating Commission names three finalists for Third District Court vacancy

Chief Justice Lynne Boomgaarden, who chairs the Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC), announced that three nominees have been forwarded to Governor Mark Gordon for consideration to fill a vacancy in the District Court of the Third Judicial District in Green River.

The JNC reviewed materials and conducted interviews with six applicants at the Sweetwater County Courthouse before selecting its nominees. The three candidates submitted to the governor are Jessica Frint, Jason Petri, and Clark Stith.

According to Chief Justice Boomgaarden, “The JNC submitted its list of nominees after an extensive review of submitted materials and candidate interviews. Six individuals submitted applications to the JNC for this position. All six applicants were interviewed by the JNC at the Sweetwater County Courthouse in Green River.”

Under the Wyoming Constitution, Governor Gordon has thirty days to appoint one of these nominees.
